If you could see the truth,
Would you want to?
If you could discover what lies under the guise of human emotions,
Would you search it out?
Come and take a look at your reflection
Tell me now!
What do you see?
Do you see everything you thought you were,
Everything you wanted to be?
Or do you see something you never expected?
A tiny light hovering over your left shoulder,
A tiny black hole over your right, perhaps?
You now see the turmoil that lies within each being
The balance they try to uphold each and every day
Do you see now how the light saturates your body?
This is you as a saint among men
One who upholds the good above all else;
One who has never harmed those around them
Now watch as the black hole absorbs the light
This is you as a pure demon
Laws and life mean nothing to you
As you kill and steal without mercy
You seek the only destruction of others
To fulfill your amusement
Now watch as the black hole
And the light meet in the middle
Here you find balance
You are able to love and befriend those you choose while
Being able to also kill any who may seek to harm those close to you.
This is the harmony your soul seeks to find
Seeks to create
Now tell me what you would expect to see as you peer into me
Tell me what your soul holds as you stare
Through the looking glass
Let it reveal the truth that you desperately seek
